Former AOA Member Kwon Mina’s Haunting Post Sparks Deep Concern Among Fans: “Everything Feels Terrifying”
Former AOA member Kwon Mina has left fans deeply concerned after sharing a candid and unsettling message on social media.
On April 23, Mina posted a selfie alongside a short but emotional caption that revealed the weight she’s been carrying.

I don’t know if I’ve just become completely twisted or if I’m just scared… I’m terrified that the same things might happen again. Everything scares me. And I want to say something firmly to myself too: Get it together.
The vulnerability in her words struck a chord with many, prompting a flood of supportive messages:
- “You can get through this.”
- “Stay strong things will get better,”
- “There’s no need to be afraid.”
Mina has been no stranger to public struggle. Debuting in 2012 with AOA, she rose to fame with several hits like “Heart Attack,” “Like a Cat,” and “Miniskirt.” However, she left the group in 2019, later alleging that she had endured a decade of bullying from fellow member Shin Jimin. The revelations led to Shin’s departure from the group in 2020, and the situation spiraled into a long, painful controversy.

Since then, Kwon Mina has been caught in the spotlight for various reasons: indoor smoking controversies, accusations of mistreating a nurse, and these incidents have only added to the scrutiny and pressure she faces.
Still, she’s shown signs of rebuilding. In January 2025, she announced a fresh start as a dermatology clinic counselor. She proudly shared that she had obtained two new certifications and would be working at a new clinic in Seoul’s Gwanghwamun district in March.
Despite her brave attempts to move forward, her latest post reveals that the emotional scars still linger. While she once stated that she would no longer speak about Shin Jimin and planned to focus on her future, the lingering trauma and anxiety remain.
